As I still had some lamb lost in the freezer, I made a combination with a sweet cabbage, which I bought especially for this purpose, not for another, but I had been thinking about it for a long time.

  • 1 kg lamb (front pulp)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 fresh cabbage
  • 300 gr mashed tomatoes
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • boia dulce / iute
  • dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • dill

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Sweet cabbage with lamb:

We cut the meat into suitable pieces that we wash well.

In a saucepan put the oil to heat. Add the meat and cover with a lid. We leave the meat until the juice is reduced, then we put the onion first, then the diced bell peppers.

When the onion and pepper have softened, add the cabbage, which we have previously chopped as thinly as possible and rubbed with a little salt. Cover with a lid and leave for 5 minutes, then fill with as much water as needed. Add the bay leaves, thyme and pepper and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the mashed tomatoes and put the dish in the oven until the juice decreases.

Sprinkle with green dill and remove from the oven.

Serve hot cabbage with sour cream or yogurt and hot peppers.
